Veneno Tropical is a Brisbane-based band bringing the vibrant spirit of Peruvian psychedelic cumbia and chicha to the Australian music scene. Their sound blends infectious cumbia rhythms with hypnotic electric guitar melodies and swirling psychedelic textures, creating an atmosphere that is both joyful and refreshing.

Formed in 2024, the band was born from a desire to introduce the unique sound of Peruvian cumbia to Brisbane audiences through a live band. Rooted in Peruvian cumbia and chicha, Veneno Tropical also explores cumbia from other Latin American countries. Their repertoire includes carefully selected covers and popular songs reimagined in a cumbia style, creating an energetic and engaging experience for a diverse audience
